About the author

Marianne Kane-Jenkinson (nee Alonzo) grew up in an Italian-American family in Linden, New Jersey, a part of the New York City Metropolitan Area. She graduated from Douglass College of Rutgers University and has worked as a vascular sonographer for  over thirty years. Marianne currently resides in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania with her husband, Howard Jenkinson, and their pet cats. She is also the proud mom of son, Michael Kane, and daughter-in-law, Jenny.                                                            “As a teenager of the tumultuous seventies, when Roe v Wade gave women the legal right to abortion, I was taught in school that the fetus was just a blob of tissue. With the passage of time, I have learned otherwise.”
